Dear Diary,
After 12 hours, three Christmas movies and one bottle of wine, kitchen construction is complete! I am proud of our project and a bit jealous of the outcome–my 16-month-old daughter’s play kitchen is nicer than my real one. It was well-worth the blood, sweat and tears–well, no blood was actually shed. We may have sweated, because I like to pump the heat at 80 degrees. And any tears were from laughing. I’m looking forward to spending even more hours baking pretend pumpkin pies this holiday season with my sweet and spicy little girl.
Here’s our recipe for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
A Lump of Love
A Heap of Hope
A Fourth of Faith
A Cup of Courage
A Dash of Dignity
A Can of Kindness
A Pinch of Patience
A Spoonful of Spontaneity
Bake blessings for 12 months, and this meal will make you overcome obstacles and achieve excellence. And remember, if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Or, if you’re like my daughter and can take it, get into the oven and face your fears head on!

This little kitchen set is just too cute!! They really have come a long way since the days my daughters were babies! You can tell she’s head-over-heels for it, which makes all of your hard labor to assemble it worthwhile. Congrats!
If she didn’t like it, I think she would have seen her mommy cry…lol.
This is probably the best kitchen set I have ever seen. My 6yo must never see it otherwise I will have a new project on my hands. She’s adorable. I love the Christmas Recipe!
I fell in love with it and tracked down a decent deal online. My advice is to not procrastinate. I originally was going to do it on Christmas Eve. Thank goodness I got help earlier!
Sooo cute! Love the Christmas Recipe, I’m going to use that next year.
Love it!
I love her kitchen. My kitchen was one of my favorite Christmas presents. I got it at two and must have played with it until I was 6 or 7.
Great Pictures!
This is too cute and so is your daughter
