Dear Diary,
Friday night is movie night at my sister’s house. It’s a tradition I would like to start someday with my daughter. This week, my sister selected the title instead of her children who are typically tasked with that job. When it rained a few days ago, she told her two boys in her best wicked witch voice, “I’m melting. I’m melting!” The famous quote went right over their heads and over their umbrellas. They stared back in silence, so she decided it was time to rent The Wizard of Oz and The Wiz. I too would like to share the classics–wow, am I old enough to refer to childhood movies as classic?–with my little one, especially during the holidays. I am anxiously awaiting the 24-hour Christmas Story marathon on TBS and looking forward to curling up on the couch and pumping up the fireplace. Here’s my top titles for the holidays that I’m hoping Baby C will give two thumbs up when she’s old enough to watch alongside her mommy.
A Christmas Story
Home Alone
Deck the Halls
Miracle on 34th Street
The Muppet Christmas Carole
The Polar Express
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Frosty the Snowman
Hey DFTM members–What holiday hit would you add to the list?

I would add a Micky Mouse Christmas carol.
You’ve got all of my faves!
